One Heart Women’s Conference Was Warm & Joyful
“In your presence there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11).”
Psalm 16 is where we began our trek to finding Joy in the Journey at this year’s One Heart Women’s Conference. Led by our very own First Lady of Birchman, Mrs. Deborah Pearle, we walked through Scripture to find out what the Lord has said joy is and what it is not. Mrs. Pearle shared that joy is the “emotion of great delight caused by something exceptionally good.” What could be better than the love of God, the provision of salvation through Christ Jesus, and the comfort and guidance of the Holy Spirit?! We discovered things in our life that can rob us of our joy and were encouraged that joy isn’t based on our circumstances but on the very character of God.
This gathering together of women of all ages and stages in life was so warm and joyful. After two days of laughing, praying, eating, sharing, and learning together, Mrs. Pearle carried us again to Scripture to give us what she referred to as, “ten words that will change your life”. These ten words are found in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances.”
The One Heart Leadership Team would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mrs. Pearle and to those who volunteered their time and talents for this year’s conference.
